Welcome to The Learning Zone
Now Accepting School Readiness formerly known as 4C
Our vision at The Learning Zone Daycare is to be the recognized leader in providing the finest care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We are committed to quality childcare and excellance in staff employment.
- We will educate as well as nurture each individual child. Our goal is to be the start in every child’s life-long journey to success.
- We will strive for excellence while providing safe, affordable care, and self paced high quality learning.
- We help children learn through hands on play because we understand the many benefits of play in child development and growth.
Promote social skills
Playing and learning with other children helps to promote social skills, such as sharing.
Babies and toddlers learn by playing. This is how children learn speech, sharing, and other life based skills.
Projects and activities
Projects and activities to promote learning things such as colors, numbers, reading and math.
Music and movement
Listening to music and dancing stimulates brain activity! This also helps promote motor skills.
We help fine tune your child's motor skills with play, music, movement, and other activities.
Your child will learn problem solving skills by playing and learning with puzzles and other games.
Meet Our Staff
The Learning Zone puts the child's needs as our top priority. We make sure your child is kept safe in a nurturing and cleanly environment.
Here at the Learning Zone Daycare we care for children and are set on making your family a part of ours. We employ only high quality credentialed teachers who have been fingerprinted and background checked. We have staff who are CPR and First Aid Certified, and our employees attend continuous training to learn the latest on caring for children.
- Safety first environment and attitude.
- Credentialed background-checked staff.
- First aid certified staff on hand.
We have an open door policy and encourage parents to stop by and check on their child anytime they choose. Keep in mind that it may stir up some cries when you are ready to exit.
We are always in need of some volunteer help. You must pass a background check before you can access volunteer opportunities.
We were very skeptic about leaving our 3 month old with anyone. After meeting Melinda, we decided to give it a trial run. She has been great! Our now 9 month old, is always happy when he sees her. I’m glad a colleague recommended her to us.
My 2yr old has been with Ms. Melinda for a year. She enjoys her time there playing with others, and doing arts and crafts.
My twins were with Melinda for about 3 years before we had to move out of state due to a transfer with my husband’s job. We were sad to have to leave and wish we could find someone like Melinda who truly cared for our babies.
My grandson was always happy when I dropped him off with Melinda at her home daycare. We’d enter the home and off he went to play until it was time for him to sit for breakfast. The place was kept clean and smelling good. I feel like it was his home away from home. It was the best decision to have him attend her home daycare.
Good caregivers are hard to find, and when you find them, you just know that you can go to work and not worry so much, you can actually be productive. Thank you Mrs. Torres for giving me that peace of mind, I know my baby is in good hands.
Our daughter Stephanie has attended Melinda’s home daycare for three years and loves being dropped off daily, which puts me at ease as a working mom. When it is time for pick up, my daughter wishes to stay longer and this is priceless. Having a fun, safe and clean environment is very important along with learning and developmental skills. Thank you Melinda for all your help!
